Pascal Maurieras is one of the members of the Freedom Flotilla crew. As the he boat was illegally intercepted by the Israeli authorities on international waters on the 9th of June, several crew members were deported after a stay in Israeli prison. Three of them – Pascal Maurieras, Yanis Mhamdi and Marco van Rennes – are still imprisoned. The flights they were meant to be deported with have suddenly been canceled as the airspace was shut down by the Israeli authorities. Their return is still uncertain.

Hello from Israeli prisons,
The Madleen was boarded while still 110 nautical Miles away from the shores of Gaza. That is, in international waters. This is an act of piracy. We are used to dealing with a thug state.
It is urgent that our European states take concrete sanctions against Israel. By stopping the sale of arms, recognising the Palestinian state as well as economically and culturally boycotting the country.
The fact that Israel is in such a hurry to board the boats further and further away, in international waters, signifies that the denouncing of the genocide taking place in Gaza is something that bother them terribly.
As such, the mobilisation to fight this genocide is getting stronger, not only in France but all over the world.
The flotilla is strengthened by the decision of the comrades from the docks of Fos-sur-Mer and Genoa not to load the boats in destination to Israel with weaponry.
The mobilisation of people in order to denounce the genocide and fight the siege on Gaza marks the start of Humanity’s victory. Not of future colonisations.
